Over the past few weeks, our Year 13 L3 BTEC Sport students have planned, delivered and recorded a range of question and answer assessment sessions with a range of working professionals from the Sports Industry.
As part of their Development in the Sports Industry unit of work, students are required to ask questions to a range of working professionals to investigate their current position, previous experiences, educational qualifications and any other relevant information. This is then collated and forms part of a written assignment that is assessed as part of their L3 BTEC Sport qualification.
This year we were lucky enough to have the following visitors into school:
Danni Smart – Physiotherapist from England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB)
Pete Thorpe – Assistant Community Health & Wellbeing Manager (Inspire Together, Leicester)
Reece Hall – Trainee PE teacher
Our year 13 students displayed excellent professionalism throughout this part of their coursework and were able to investigate a wide range of knowledge and advice to help them in their future careers.
