The curriculum is enhanced by a vibrant, wide-ranging co-curricular programme which provides a broad curriculum offer and supports student wellbeing.

Our rich and varied sporting life allows students to play a number of team sports such as badminton, basketball, boys’ and girls’ football, cricket, netball, rounders, rugby and table tennis.  We also offer a range of other fitness opportunities.

There are many opportunities for learning outside the classroom. These include visits to art galleries, museums, theatres, concerts, operas, fieldwork at sites of geographical, scientific or historical interest. Students enjoy the many clubs and societies such as the Eco Martyrs and Duke of Edinburgh Award. Click here for more information on the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Students are supported in a variety of ways. In-class support is offered to meet the needs of particular students as necessary. Study facilities are available before and after school and at lunchtime. We also offer vocational courses in collaboration with a number of colleges for students aged 14 and over and have a rich programme of Gifted and Talented educational opportunities.

Students can take part in exhibitions, shows and performances throughout the year, as well as using their skills for the good of others in our local primary schools and local community.
