On Wednesday 17th January our Year 7 students had a special visit from Tess Newman from Leicester City of Sanctuary.
Tess informed the students about people who seek asylum in the UK, particularly in the city of Leicester and explained to them about the daily struggles they go through.
During their assembly they learnt about the amazing work and support that the charity provides the local community to help asylum seekers.
Tess told students about how the toiletries and other donated items that were collected during our Advent charity work were gratefully received and distributed over the Christmas period.
Thanks again to Tess for coming in and visiting our school.
