On Wednesday 11^th September, 7 students from years 8-11 attended the very first Leicester Secondary Schools Golf Sixes event at Beedles Lake Golf Course.

The students involved have been regular attendees at the English Martyrs’ Golf after school club that was delivered in the previous summer term. At the event, students got a tour of the facilities on offer at Beedles Lake Golf Course, experience the driving range, practice putting green and eventually competing on the Owl’s Par 3 course against another school.

For the majority of the students, this was their very first experience of attending a golf club and playing on such facilities.

The Golf club at English Martyrs will be open again to students in the summer term – keep an eye out for this opportunity if you are interested!
