On Tuesday 14th September, Schola Cantorum were invited to provide the music at Mass for the Bishop’s Day Conference at the East Midlands Conference Centre in Nottingham. Students performed a range of liturgical music, from the plainchant Missa de Angelis to the ‘Gloria’ from Bob Chilcott’s Little Jazz Mass. Compliments for the Schola Cantorum flooded in from the congregation of representatives from the schools in our Multi-Academy Trust, including the CEO, Mr Lockyer – well done, Schola!

Further to this exceptional performance opportunity, our students enjoyed the fascinating Titus dinosaur exhibition at Wollaton Hall, Nottingham. Set in the most beautiful deer park, this Grade I Listed Elizabethan building boasts an impressive Hollywood connection, featuring as Wayne Manor in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

Many congratulations to all our performers and our incredibly professional team of Stage Crew technicians in the Sixth Form.
