Last week, Year 10 students enjoyed a valuable week of work experience in their chosen field. As a school we believe that work experience plays an integral part in our students’ development of essential work-related skills and preparation for life. Our Work Experience programme is developed in partnership with Leicestershire Education Business Company (LEBC). Students can request a placement sourced by LEBC or have the option to arrange their own private placement. Some teachers had the opportunity to visit students at their work placements and were amazed at the level of confidence, willingness to learn and hard work that the students displayed.

Below are a few quotations received from employers regarding our students: Logan Christ the King Primary School – “Very punctual, friendly, worked really well with the children and staff. A pleasure to have in our school. Thank you” Raisharnie Leicester Motor Spares – “Raisharnie is a true grafter who has gone way beyond what we expect from work experience students. He has helped us out greatly this week” Faith Mrs Bridge’s Tea Rooms Ltd – “Faith has been amazing, I wish all students who did work experience had the same attitude. She is a credit to the school” Hope 6 Degrees Coffee House – “What an absolutely fabulous student. We taught her so much on the first day and she absorbed everything. Hope is now serving customers and working on the till. She is a lovely student” Curtis Suit Yourself (UK) Ltd – “Curtis has been polite, well-mannered and most importantly shown a willingness to want to learn. We can work with this type of student” Roque John Lewis – “Roque is a very well-mannered and calm student who has an eye for detail. It has been a pleasure having him here”
