KS3 CURRICULUM

At Key Stage 3, students study a range of subjects each week, offering a broad and balanced curriculum with 10% of curriculum time devoted to Religious Education.

We understand that engagement in the Performing Arts helps students to develop self-confidence – so important in all spheres of life. To this end, all students study Art, Dance, Drama and Music, with many students also choosing to take part in further Music study.

The Key Stage 3 curriculum is appropriately challenging and comprises the following curriculum areas:

English

Mathematics

Science

Religious Education

Physical Education

Art

Art & Design Practice

Dance

Drama

Food Preparation & Nutrition

French

Geography
History

ICT

Music

Textiles

This is then followed by an extensive range of options at KS4 which reflects and meets the needs of our diverse school population. In Year 9, students undertake in-depth study, building firm foundations for GCSE study.
