On Wednesday 31st January we hosted multiple indoor cricket fixtures against Castle Mead.
Our year 7 and 8 team played first and managed to limit the opponents total to a total of 78 runs from 8 overs. However we were unable to match that impressive run rate and fell short of victory. Despite the result there were some very impressive displays and for several of the students, this was their first experience of indoor cricket.
Our more experienced year 9 and 10 team did manage to win their match. Restricting the opponents to 58-6 off 8 overs and then reaching the set total with 8 balls remaining. This was a very promising display and hopefully the sign of things to come as we move into the cricket season.
Well done to all involved and good luck to year 9 and 10 who will progress into the next round of the competition.
