English Martyrs recently hosted the annual Leicester City Primary School Basketball festivals in partnership with the Inspire Together Team.

Over 120 primary school students from years 5 and 6 were invited to attend and experience playing in the sports hall. The schools finishing in 1^st and 2^nd place from each of the 3 festivals will then continue in the competition at a later date.

As usual, our L3 BTEC Sport students in years 12 and 13 assisted with the running of the festivals, demonstrating effective leadership qualities and officiating skills to ensure the matches ran smoothly. This provides our KS5 students with an opportunity to improve their confidence, communication and leadership skills.
