– MECHANICS – Units & Kinematics, Forces & Newton Law
– STATISTICS – Collecting, Representing & Interpreting data, Probability & Discrete Random Variables, Hypothesis Testing
Year 13
– PURE – Algebra 2, Sequences, Trigonometric Identities, Differentiation 2, Integration & Differential Equations and Numerical Methods
– MECHANICS – Motion in 2D, Forces 2
– STATISTICS – Probability & Continuous Random Variables, Hypothesis Testing 2
ASSESSMENT
Year 12 / AS – 1x 2 hour external exam and 1x 1¼ hour external exam
Year 13 / A2 – 3x 2 hour external exam
All students undertake mock exams at least 2 times a year
Homework in the form of teacher notes, past papers, ICT resources (MyMaths), Integral
Year 12 AS modules – need a D to continue onto A2

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
5 Grade 4s and above to include Grade 6 in Mathematics GCSE
