Over the past couple of weeks, we had four different year groups participate in the West Leicester School football finals held at New College. Our participation in these events comes as a result of us qualifying from our leagues that took place earlier in the school term.

Three of our year groups were crowned as West Leicester Champions. The first team to be crowned West Leicester Champions was Year 10 boys who beat Fullhurst 1-0 in the final, secondly our year 9 boys’ team were also successful following wins against Samworth and New College, and finally our year 11 boys’ team beat New College and Lancaster to become champions. Hard luck to our year 8 boys’ team who were beaten by a very strong Fullhurst team in their semi-final. Congratulations to all students involved and good luck to the different year groups that have progressed to the City Final.
