The year 9 Boys football team had their Quarter final County Cup match away at the reigning champions, Brockington.

Despite an evenly contested first half, Brockington found themselves 2-0 up at half time as they had a more clinical edge of the two teams. Despite being behind to a team that had already previously beaten us in the National Cup back in October, the team were upbeat and motivated to make amends in the second half.

Goals from Owen (2), Callum (2), Isaac and Baraka combined with an incredible defensive display in the second half resulted in a final score of 6-2 to English Martyrs. Man of the match was the debutant in the team, Baraka who produced a great performance in the centre if midfield. Every single player of the 15 man squad played their part in this incredible game of football and as a result they progress to the semi-final of the competition.
