On Friday, March 14th, Youth Engagement Officer Jo Burton visited English Martyrs to lead an educational session on the dangers of knife crime. The Year 8 students were fully engaged throughout the session, asking thoughtful and insightful questions. Jo Burton’s presentation focused on the serious impact of knife crime on individuals and communities, urging students to reflect on their own safety and responsibility. This session is an essential part of the school’s safeguarding curriculum, with Year 8 to Year 11 students already participating. Year 7 will have the opportunity to learn about this important issue next week.
