On Tuesday, November 26th, the Year 8 boys’ football team showed exceptional teamwork, determination, and skill as they were crowned West Leicester Champions.

In the semi-final, the team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over New College, with Dylan scoring a stunning goal from outside the box. His brilliant strike, coupled with a solid team defensive performance, ensured the win.

The final proved to be a thrilling contest. Although they went 1-0 down against a strong Babbington team, the boys rallied together to turn the game around, clinching a 2-1 victory. Oscar and Elisha scored the crucial goals to secure the championship.

Elisha and Oscar were named Players of the Match for their outstanding performances. A huge congratulations to all the players for their hard work and dedication. The team now looks forward to competing in the Leicester City final in the new year.
