On Thursday 20th November, the English Martyrs year 11 boys basketball team travelled to Crown Hills to compete in the Leicester City schools competition.
Being led by two of our most experienced basketball players in Emmanuel and Danial, the team were firstly able to watch St Pauls comfortably beat Crown Hills.
English Martyrs then played against St Pauls, the County champions for the past 3 years, and provided them with a much tougher contest. However their experience on court showed and eventually the match ended with a St Pauls win.
In their second match against Crown Hills, the English Martyrs team rotated players superbly and this resulted in a brilliant overall team performance. Points from Jason, Emmanuel, Lewis and Reggie meant that the scoreline was never close. This resulted in English Martyrs finishing second.
Well done to all students involved!
