At this week’s Year 8 Aspire Club, we welcomed Mrs Singh and Dr Joshi from the Science Department to lead an interactive session on the brain and reflexes.

Students took part in experiments on how the body can respond to changes in the environment, linking well with the recent discovery of pain and temperature receptors in this year’s Nobel Prize in Medicine.

Students enthusiastically answered questions and took park in discussions regarding the reflex arc and its importance in survival.
