Advent fundraising for Year 7 was a huge success and very much a team effort.

The Year 7 students worked extremely hard to raise some much-needed funds for local charity “KeeptheBeat” (a small, family-run charity which supports children born with congenital heart defects and offers vital support to their families.)

Students from each tutor group, supported by the Year 12 student committee, clubbed together and brought in a huge amount of luxury Christmas items which were made into individual hampers for a giant raffle at the end of term.

With the help of the Sixth form committee, Year 7 gave up their breaks and lunchtimes to sell tickets and raise as much money as possible. A brilliant team effort enabled them to raise £650 for this very worthy cause.
