On Wednesday 30th April, a team of English Martyrs students from Year 9 attended the Leicestershire and Rutland School Boccia event.
After travelling to the Sir Jonathon North Tennis centre, students were firstly introduced to the sport before competing against another 9 schools in attendance.
Throughout the event, the English Martyrs students scored a very impressive 22 points across the 8 matches they played. Despite not making it into the top 3 places for medals, this was a fantastic effort considering that most of the other schools in attendance were far more experienced and confident with the sport and regular attendees at the event.
A massive thank you and well done to the students who attended and were rewarded with cakes and drinks in the sunshine when we returned to school.
