Spiritual Life Officers

As members of the Senior Leadership Team of Sixth form, we currently serve as spiritual life officers within our school community.

This role involves supporting and enriching the spiritual life of the school community. We assist in preparation and celebration for multiple masses throughout the school year by delivering readings, supporting Eucharist Ministry, setting up services and leading prayers during form time. In addition, we work proactively to strengthen the school’s faith life and promote a deeper sense of religious understanding and unity.

As a catholic school, we are guided by our faith while also recognising the importance of inclusion and respect for those of other religions. We actively acknowledge and celebrate key religious events from different faith traditions to ensure all members of the school community feel valued and respected. For example, during Diwali, we offer small tokens of recognition to pupils and staff who celebrate.

We chose to become spiritual life officers because from a young age, we have felt deeply rooted in our faith and motivated to share its values to others. This role provides us with the opportunity to serve our community and promote spiritual growth as well as foster a supportive and inclusive school environment.
