On Friday 19^th June we welcomed back a wonderful group of (slightly not so) young people – our alumni members! In what will hopefully become an annual event, ex-students delivered presentations to students in Year 10 and 12 about their career paths and life choices. They represented diverse paths, with the reassuring message that any life experience equips people with transferrable skills so there’s no need to panic if unsure what career to pursue. Students then enjoyed a chance to mingle and ask lots of questions. The event was rounded off with a chance for our alumni members to catch up with staff over lunch. Our alumni members were able to reflect on how far they’ve come; our students were able to reflect on their future choices – and staff were able to reflect on why we do what we do: a truly lovely occasion.
