We were delighted to welcome our CEO, Neil Lockyer, to staff briefing on Monday morning, where he made special presentations to three of our most distinguished colleagues who are retiring at the end of this academic year.

Mr Hunt—who truly needs no introduction—is retiring after an incredible 43 years of service to English Martyrs. This remarkable milestone is a testament to his unwavering commitment to Catholic education and to the community of our school. His dedication has left a lasting legacy, and his presence will be deeply missed.

Also retiring are Mr Lee Sr and Mr Aiken (affectionately known to many as Carl and Dave), who have taken immense pride in caring for and managing our school site. Thanks to their hard work, our school has always been known for its cleanliness and welcoming environment—something visitors consistently praise. Their efforts have ensured that our premises remain a beautiful and safe space for students and staff alike.

To all three members of staff, the entire school community owes you a debt of gratitude for your many years of loyal service and dedication.

We wish you all the very best for a happy, healthy, and well-earned retirement.
From all the staff at English Martyrs—thank you.
