A fantastic time was had by all on this year’s Cardiff Sports Trip, where 38 students represented the school brilliantly with excellent behaviour, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship throughout the visit.

The boys took part in two football fixtures, producing an impressive record of three wins and one draw across the matches. The girls competed in a series of netball fixtures, narrowly losing one closely contested game before facing a very strong academy side in a challenging match. Every student gave their absolute best, showing determination, teamwork, and resilience, while gaining valuable experience from the competitive fixtures.

As part of the trip, students also visited the impressive Cardiff City Stadium, where they were given the exciting opportunity to step inside the club’s real media room and even hold their own press conference for the teachers. This was a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Students also enjoyed professional coaching sessions in both football and netball, giving them a real insight into elite-level training environments. The netball squad were especially fortunate to be coached by Cardiff Lex players, who are part of the next generation of the Wales national setup. The sessions provided students with valuable knowledge, inspiration, and new skills to take back into school sport.

Alongside the sporting activities, students enjoyed plenty of social time together, including bowling, arcades, and a movie and pizza night, making the trip both rewarding and enjoyable from start to finish.

Well done to all students involved for representing the school so positively and making the trip such a success.
