To wrap up our 60th Anniversary celebrations, the entire school community came together for a picnic on the school field on Friday, 4th July. It was a lovely way to end the school week, with students from Years 7, 8, 9, 10, and 12 enjoying delicious food and lively music under the summer sunshine. There was even time for an ice cream treat, rounding off a wonderful week filled with school trips and Sports Day activities.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Samworth Brothers , PepsiCo, Asda, Crowndale, Walker & Son for generously providing food, drinks, and snacks for the event. A huge thank you also goes to our amazing catering staff, who worked tirelessly to prepare over 800 picnic bags for students and staff. We’re also incredibly grateful to our Sixth Form students, whose help in setting up the field and distributing the food was invaluable.

It was a fantastic way to bring almost two months of anniversary celebrations to a close, and a reminder of the strong spirit of community that makes our school so special.
