Year 10 are currently working very hard raising funds for their chosen charity "KeeptheBeat". A local, family-run registered charity that supports children with congenital heart defects and particularly offers advice and support for the families involved, "KeeptheBeat" work tirelessly to raise awareness and raise much-needed funds. The couple who run it, Adam and Annita Tansey, set it up following their son's heart transplant a few years ago and since then they have raised enough funds to buy invaluable specialised equipment for the Glenfield site. At this time of year, they are at their busiest, taking Christmas to the children currently in hospital (Hampers of goodies for parents, Father Christmas and his grotto...)
Year 10 students are selling raffle tickets this week, having spent last week donating some lovely Christmas items. The first prize is an amazing Christmas hamper full of luxury items, runners-up also win some fabulous Christmas goodies - loads of prizes to be won!
This is the third year that English Martyrs’ are proud to be supporting "KeeptheBeat".
Thanks for your support,
Year 10 Team
