Since the start of term, Year 7 students have benefited from Accelerate sessions every Wednesday on self-regulation and metacognition. On Wednesday they learnt how to write and use lists.
In this session they identified homework that required completion, what action they were going to take and the deadline for it. The cohort then went on to set two goals: an 'in school'; and 'out of school' goal. The word goals was used as an acronym for 'go out and learn something.'
