The Year 10s took two teams to Soar Valley College on Tuesday 8 November. Both teams, red and gold, put a tremendous amount of effort into all of their matches.
Against Fulhurst, team Red showed incredible resilience throughout the game, even when it felt hard to do so. This resilience followed the girls into their second game against Tudor Range, where this was coupled with excellent communication and motivating support of each other.
The team then played Sir Jonathan North. Having made several changes to positions, the girls played harder than ever, making some terrific shots and showing fantastic sportsmanship. The girls then played their final game against City of Leicester. Exhausted, but ready to end on a high, the team managed to finish the game with a whopping score of 5:0!
Team Gold players; Adrien, Diana, Kini, Angel, Claire, Peace, and Elisha won 3 out of the 4 games we played. In the first game, we played City of Leicester and won 3-0, the game went past swiftly with us confident and calm. The defenders supported us by blocking the ball from the opposing team. The attackers helped us by getting the ball to the goal where our amazing shooters, Elisha and Peace scored.
In the second game we played against Castle Mead winning 4-3, this game was more intense than the first one, making us play much harder. In the third game we played against Avanti Fields, winning 2-0.
For the last game, we played against Tudor Grange and lost 4-3. It was a great game that challenged our strengths and our weaknesses. Although we lost that game we felt proud and happy with ourselves. Diana was awarded girl of the games three times and Elisha once!
