Year 9 students who are participating in The Scholars Programme have been engaged with the project - 'Brain in computers: Do they have a mind of their own?
The programme is delivered by a PhD tutor in weekly tutorials.
Students are exploring Brain as a complex organ and how it works. They are also learning about what happens when it is dysfunctional and how can we change the brain back to its healthy state. In this course, they will also be exploring computational neuroscience which uses computers to study the Brain.
The Year 9 Scholars are finding the content challenging but are greatly enjoying the tutorials.
We look forward to reading their final 2000-word assignment which will be graded as 1st , 2:1 or 2:2 as at University.
