St Cecilia Concert 2018

On 22 November 2018, our students marked the feast of St Cecilia – the patron saint of music – with a celebratory concert involving musicians from every year group.

The programme included a mixture of ensembles, including a new choir for Year 7 and 8 students led my Mrs Handley, a Flute Ensemble, School Orchestra and the new School Choir, directed by Mrs Bishop. Our students have been rehearsing since the start of the Autumn Term and the repertoire was a varied and challenging mixture, performed to a large and enthusiastic audience in our St Cecilia Auditorium.

The concert also included performances from our accomplished GCSE and A Level Music Students, accompanied by Mr Simeone, as well as a brand new composition by Mateusz Jasinski and a stunning performance of Brahms given by Megan Erridge, our Deputy Head Girl.

Congratulations to all students who took part – you were superb
