The new student Careers Events Team supported our visiting professional volunteers at “Meet the Employers” event on Tuesday 28th January. Focused on Year 8, who will soon be making option choices, the evening enabled students and parents to get a flavour of the enormous range of potential occupations in our area and beyond. Representatives of many companies in the region were present as well as civil and public services and as well as learning about the interesting range of things they do, students were able to think about the qualification journey between now and the world of work. Thank you to Mr James, our Careers Lead and to our wonderful new team who helped set everything up and enabled the evening to run really smoothly.
