On Wednesday 8 March, Miss Liburd and Mr Bryan-Dooher took 15 Year 7 girls to a football event at Goals, Leicester.
The aim of the event was to inspire them to be involved in playing in the Secondary Girls' League next season or just to have fun playing football in their spare time.
We joined 10 other local schools in a friendly football tournament where students were given an opportunity to play matches combined elements of competition and fun. Our two football teams showed excellent determination and effort to compete in multiple games in blizzard conditions. They recorded some fantastic results which were matched with some stand out performances.
The girls had a fantastic time and have pledged to come and join the co-curricular after school girls' football club!
