The English Speaking Union’s Public Speaking Competition was an amazing and inspiring opportunity.
From the branch qualifier heat at Catmose College to the heady heights of the National Final held at Churchill College, Cambridge, this competition has helped every single member of our all-female team to develop skills in speaking, listening and questioning - skills that will be invaluable to us for the rest of our lives. We have been constantly encouraged to keep pushing ourselves and keep improving. We are now proud to say that we are the first team to represent Leicester at the National Final in 40 years.
