As part of the Eco-Schools programme, a Tiny forest of 600 trees was planted on Thursday 9 March, despite the challenging weather! This was an opportunity for students to make a lasting mark on the environment of our school, and also locally here in Leicester.
As we look back on 60 years of English Martyrs' Catholic School, we hope that in the coming years the forest will develop into an amazing additional resource for our school provide a diverse ecosystem for our neighbouring wildlife.
This tree planting took place in collaboration with Leicester City Council’s sustainability team and the environment charity, Earthwatch.
