AUTUMN 2020 SERIES EXAM ENTRY NOTIFICATION

Students who feel that their calculated grade in a particular subject does not accurately reflect the grade they would have achieved under normal examination conditions, may apply to sit examinations during the autumn examination series.  The Department for Education is due to make funding available towards the cost of entry fees for those candidates taking part in the Autumn Exam series, but at the time of writing the details of this have not been published. We will prioritise reducing fees for those students who were entitled to a Sixth Form Bursary in the academic year 2019-20.

The examinations windows published by JCQ are:

GCE AS and A-level examinations start on Monday 5 October and finish on Friday 23 October.

GCSE examinations start on Monday 2 November and finish on Monday 23 November.

The JCQ deadlines for entry are:

(GCE AS & A-level) – 4 September

GCSE (except English Language and Mathematics) – 18 September

GCSE (English Language and Mathematics) – 4 October

If you would like to take a qualification in the autumn series you will need to complete an Autumn Exam Series entry form, which is be available here. We suggest you discuss this with the senior member of staff on the helpline.

A final reminder that the Ofqual Guide for Students contains a range of key information for candidates and parents.
