English Martyrs students visit The Skills Show

On Friday 17th November 2017 a party of Year 10 and Year 11 students attended the UK's largest skills, apprenticeships and careers event at the NEC in Birmingham. The skills show was packed with career advice and skills activities across a huge range of sectors. With hundreds of career ideas to explore the students wasted no time when they arrived in seeking advice from local and international businesses, colleges, universities and armed forces. They all thoroughly enjoyed the day's experience and feed back was extremely positive.

Here are a few of the comments made by the students:

" Sir, I wish I could stay here all day! I've not managed to see all of the stalls yet"

" I have never thought about joining the armed forces but I will now"

" Brilliant event. So much to see and do."

"I spoke to a lady on the Red Bull racing stand. Two years ago she was in my shoes visiting the show as a student. That really has inspired me".
